They Didn't Stop Until Every Cat Was Safe

Street Cat HUB trappers Jen and Chelsea got the kind of rescue call that makes your heart race: a mom cat and her two kittens were living in a sewer.

The kittens were ready for their rescue moment. Jen and Chelsea set the traps, and in perfect sibling fashion, one kitten walked into one trap at the exact same time the other kitten walked into the second trap. Two tiny sewer babies, safe in one synchronized move.

But Mom was nowhere to be found.

Jen didn’t stop at waiting and hoping. She went into the sewer to look for her, because rescue work sometimes means doing the thing most people would run from. Jen and Chelsea kept searching, watching, waiting, and refusing to give up.

Finally, overnight, Mom was trapped too.

Now this little family is safe because trained trappers showed up and stayed.

Street Cat HUB needs more people willing to help cats like this. You can help trap, volunteer or donate so more families get out of dangerous places and into care.

Help Street Cat HUB save the next family.
